ROSE FACTOR – Masters Sunday, April 8, 2012
What an exciting Masters, never dull, plenty of twists and turns to the very end. Day 1 had everyone in the hunt. Tiger, Phil and Rory rallying to stay in it, steady Westwood on top. Day 2 saw Tiger lose his cool, Phil and Rory shoot 68 to move near the lead and Freddie Couples does what he does at nearly every Masters, finds his name at the top of the leader board with a 67. Saturday is moving day and everyone is in the hunt, with Big Phil shooting 30 on the back 9 to be one shot back of hot Peter Hanson. Sunday is always special, this year no different. Louie Oosthuizen, holes out for double eagle 2 on #2, bing, new leader. Mickelson has a meltdown at #4, triple bogey. Back and forth. Here comes Matt Kuchar, Lee Westwood makes a move, 8 players have their name near the lead. Mickelson makes his move, 3 birdies to be one back. But out of the pack comes Bubba Watson, with 4 straight birdies to tie Oosthuizen at -10 for a playoff, where Bubba hits a miraculous shot from the right woods on #10 to seal the victory and the Masters green jacket.
**Notes** - congrats to PING who have Bubba, Louie and Hunter Mahan (2 time PGA winner) sporting their logo.
